I am with you.

We are almost to the point that a majority of the people do not pay income taxes. When we pass that critical point, what could ever happen to reign it back?

As Alexander Tytler said:

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.”

I know, I know, we are not a Democracy, we are a Constitutional Republic but the proles will vote for the people who tax the more productive 49%, right? Why would those loser myrmidons not want “free” health care?

Right on, Brother!!!! I’m with you 100% I’d cut more slack to women and children because I don’t feel that they are nearly as capable, but men should be men, step up to the plate and take care of their families.

Before anything of those can happen, though, you must find a way to overcome the political apathy that has taken a strangle hold on the country.

[Privatestock says: I disagree. I think a handfull of people at pro-America events to perform this function would be all it would take to turn around the effect the liberals are trying to have. And just think how much fun pissing off the Sheehanian types would be.

Conservatives seem to be afraid to confront these people, and that's why they keep doing it. Make it as unpleasant for them to be there as their presence is unpleasant for us, and they might think twice about being so publicly annoying. I'm just brainstorming here because something needs to be done.]

Right there with you, PrivateStock. Been reading your posts on HotAir, and I think you and I are of the same ilk. Having read Unintended Conseq. by John Ross, I believe Jefferson was right when he said sometimes the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots.

Our government isn’t just failing to represent us. In this immigration battle, the government has proven, by deliberately going against our expressed wishes via phone and fax, and by making it known that it intends to allow a foreign invasion of tens of millions of illegal aliens into our country, it has violated the Constitution and is actually AT WAR AGAINST ITS OWN CITIZENS.

Wonder when everyone else will wake up and realize it’s time to forcibly remove our government, which is what Jefferson would do.

Although what you say does make some sense, I think more stringent psychological screening by professionals ahead of issuing of the right to purchase the gun may prevent more killers like Cho from mass murder.

Prolonging a mandatory delay to screen the applicant by the police and mental health experts is a better way than just allowing anyone to get a lethal weapon.

[Privatestock says: Thanks for commenting, Tech. Cho bought his first gun 5 weeks before he used it to kill people. The waiting period is stupid. And making it harder for responsible people to get guns won’t make the situation better. People who use guns for murder often didn’t get the gun legally.

If you want illegal drugs, they’re pretty easy to get. If you want to enter the country illegally, that’s pretty easy too. What makes anyone think people won’t be able to get guns if they’re illegal? All gun laws do is stop the good guys from being able to defend themselves. If one other person in that building had had a gun, a lot less people would have died.]

We have to refuse to be intimidated, if someone makes someone report them for weird behavior, then that person should be sued by the passengers for causing them distress with their behavior.

These Imams were faking and goofing on the passengers, and were probably trying to get tossed off the plane just so they could play the victim card and go to court and make a scene. Any judge who allows this is garbage.
